History

The Brazilian Bladesmiths website was created in 2003 by Jefferson Vellasco and is the best site about Brazilian custom knives ever made, as it not only offers the best knives by most of the makers in the country but is also a great source of information about them.

I started to work as a custom knife dealer in 1993 – as a matter of fact, I was the first custom knife dealer in Brazil - and left this job when Jefferson was starting in the business, to pursue my own career as a knifemaker, and I am really glad to be back to my original job, and to go on with Jefferson´s excellent work.
